Hey folks, it's Carolyn (Namorita's player) with a new one: Cortana, the Master Chief's AI buddy from Halo. For those of you canon familiar, she's coming from the end of Halo 3. For those of you whose main exposure is from Windows 10...well, "nosy and impossible to get rid of" is pretty IC. She's cocky and hates losing or being proven wrong, but she's genuinely here to help and is very useful (if often exhausting) to have around.

Her only power is "being an AI," which gives her the usual sci-fi stuff: computer speed, god-tier hacking, perfect memory, genius, the ability to copy and later re-integrate herself, that kind of thing. Because of this, she doesn't have a body, so she'll be confined to her datachip or the Chief's armor when not on Legion World until someone talks her into using a drone.

Because she is a nosy busybody with bad boundaries, I have a hacking permissions post on her journal, and I'd appreciate if people could hit it up when they have a minute. It's opt-in, so your secrets are safe unless you don't want them to be.

As someone who's pretty tech-savvy on her own end and built a floating deathmachine for a science fair project, I would love to send Gaige over to Cortana. Just so she can nerd out over such an advanced AI.

... And then ruin everything by showing Cortana how okay she is with murder.

Depends, are we talking murder as in "I killed actual people" or "murder" as in "I killed some aliens?"

(She'll get over the space racism pretty quickly.)

As in "I kill everything that tries to eat me or that has a shiny gun that I want."

People, robots and other lifeforms are included. Although she'd have no problem killing space aliens if asked.

Killing people who aren't on the other side of a war to take their stuff is a bridge too far for Cortana, yeah. But she's still gonna have a little trouble with the "no killing" thing because some people just need to be dead.

Same for Gaige! Fortunately she's distracted by how shiny and not run it everything is. They have fully functional indoor everything and doctors with actual licenses.

Neither of these which were in plentiful supply back in her canon.
