STATE OF THE PLOT UPDATE/DISCUSSION This is your periodic upcoming plots update/discussion. Based on player input and how quickly the game moves along, some plots may have their order or dates be shifted around in the future, or new plots may be added, but this is the current schedule of the game's upcoming mod plots. They cannot directly affect people, nor can anything they create be taken off-world, but while they're there, they can live like kings. Will the Legion be able to combat crime on a world where everyone's wills define reality? Set during "The Ninth Gate" and "Total Eclipso The Heart." ✦ Size: Limited plot, opt in. (6 characters total. Players can only send 1 character, if selected). ✦ Start Date: 9-20-17 ⟶ 10-4-17 TOTAL ECLIPSO THE HEART After enlisting the aid of a suicide cult, The Catastrophists, who want the multiverse to end, one of the last free heralds of Chronoblivion plans to awaken an ancient evil. The Legion has seen what the wrath of the Spectre can do, but the Spectre wasn't the only angel God sent to Earth to enact his will. Before the Spectre, he sent his Angel of Wrath to earth to punish the wicked and clean the world of vice and iniquity. After rebelling against God, this angel turned into a dark spirit and renamed itself Eclipso. Capable of possessing people like the Spectre, and capable of bringing out the inner evil inside people's souls, the team will have only one chance to prevent another avatar of God's wrath from getting free like the Spectre did. Because of Eclipso's corrosive influence, some Legionnaires may find themselves facing off against their corrupted teammates. (Players may only send (1) character.) ✦ Start Date: 9-20-17 ⟶ 10-4-17 THE NINTH GATE Several Legionnaires go undercover to infiltrate the Catastrophists, in an attempt to find out more of their plans, and see if their recent uptick in activity has ties to Chronoblivion. In the course of the mission, they'll have a chance to stop a potential terrorist attack meant to distract the Science Police away from Apokolips. If the Legionnaires succeed, the attack will be averted and they may find out vital information about the Catastrophist and Chronoblivion. If they fail, hundreds could die. Players can only send 1 character, if selected). ✦ Start Date: 9-20-17 ⟶ 10-4-17 GAME OF THRONE Study of the Book of Magic given to the team by the Wizard finally starts to bear fruit. Close to successfully interpreting it so the team can use its knowledge to find something to use in the fight against Chronoblivion, a few of the book's last defenses cause havoc on Legion World, unleashing magical effects like indoor flooding, inverted gravity (so characters have to walk on ceilings and avoid crashing furniture), characters having personal theme music play around them from nowhere, and a plague of frogs, among other things. The team must work together to break the last of the books' defenses to undo the magic effects and reveal its secrets. The discoveries in the book will cause the team to start facing the final leg of their adventure, where they'll have to start on a quest across the galaxy and across different dimensions to find what they need to stop Chronoblivion. ✦ Size: Gamewide event, opt in. ✦ Start Date: 10-21-17 ⟶ 10-28-17 MEDIA SHENANIGANSA new Legion Watch. ✦ Size: Gamewide event, opt in. ✦ Start Date: 10-29-17 AFTER THESE MESSAGES On one of their interdimensional retrieval missions, the Legionnaires make first contact with a planet whose entire twisted culture is based on keeping the population compliant and distracted by outrageous TV shows that pluck random people out of their lives in their survival bunkers and force them to go through strange and dangerous sitcom, TV drama, game show, and reality TV scenarios. The Legionnaires must survive these scenarios and long enough to reach "backstage" a place where they can potentially escape the oversight of the world's overlords or cut deals with them to get greater freedom of movement. No matter how they navigate this world - whether it's sabotage or stardom, they have to work to get what they need for their struggle against the Big C. No limitation on number of characters. ✦ Start Date: 11-1-17 ⟶ 11-18-17 THE BODY SNATCHERS After the Legion is asked to provide security for a treaty conference between the UP and a new potential member world, several Legionnaires find themselves at the center of a dangerous conspiracy. The planet's security forces start attempting to monitor and then capture them and even several other Legionnaires like Kid Q and Brainiac 5 seem to be under the control of whatever force is behind it all, turning on their teammates and attempting to capture them as well. The un-brainwashed Legionnaires must uncover the truth, dismantle the conspiracy, and prevent assassins from killing important officials, or the treaty conference is doomed to failure -- all while avoiding coming under the mental control of those behind the conspiracy. The memes in the ancient computers they're searching are magically brought to life and start swarming all over Seattle and the surrounding areas. Legionnaires will have to face everything from Moon Moon to Slenderman to Actual Cannibal Shia LeBeouf, and gotta catch em' all to shove them back into the computer and close the portal for good. Set during "Bloodsport" and "Information Redacted." ✦ Size: Gamewide plot, opt in. ✦ Start Date: 12-01-17 ⟶ 12-15-17 BLOODSPORT Val Armorr, the Karate Kid, has gone missing while searching for one of the items needed to fight Chronoblivion. An informant tells the Legion that an underground fighting arena is hosting a bloody tournament where most fights end in death. The prize? An item of great power and the skills of the galaxy's greatest fighter - or the chance to kill him. Champion's choice. Several of the more skilled fighters in the Legion must disguise themselves with holograms and fight their way to the top to bring Val and the MacGuffin home. And then fight their way out with martial skill alone. Set during "All Your Base" and "Information Redacted." ✦ Size: Limited plot, opt in. (6 characters total. Players can only send 1 character, if selected). ✦ Start Date: 12-01-17 ⟶ 12-15-17 INFORMATION REDACTED Inspired by "Cabin in the Woods" and the SCP Foundation, several Legionnaires are tasked with finding something in another dimension that can be used to fight Chronoblivion. They'll find themselves in a facility that studies and imprisons oddities. Fiction in this world corresponds to the Legionnaires' lives by coincidence. However, instead of telling the truth about them being from another universe, the Facility lies to them and tells them they're tulpas based on fictional characters and that their entire lives are a lie. The Facility intends to imprison them for the rest of their lives. The Facility also monitors the slumber of several ancient elder gods, the Old Ones, who must be pacified by a yearly sacrifice of several teenagers. After the teens are tricked into a trip to a cabin in the woods, and some of the Facility's collected monsters are released to kill them, the Legionnaires must escape the Facility, find the MacGuffin they're looking for, and fight to save the teens and their world from the Facility and the Old Ones. Players can only send 1 character, if selected). ✦ Start Date: 12-01-17 ⟶ 12-15-17 DISCUSSION/QUESTIONS Player plots and events may run alongside any of these plots, so feel free to propose and run any in the upcoming months. Player plots can be run as open for the whole game or be private to a few predetermined characters. If you have suggestions for something else to add to the lineup, or feel there's a gap that needs filling, please let us know.
