STATE OF THE PLOT UPDATE/DISCUSSION This is your periodic upcoming plots update/discussion. Based on player input and how quickly the game moves along, some plots may have their order or dates be shifted around in the future, or new plots may be added, but this is the current schedule of the game's upcoming mod plots. Due to RL circumstances for the mods, Gods Among Us and The Other Mother will be extended for another week before officially ending. After they have ended, backtagging can still go as long as needed. THE OTHER MOTHERA secret door appears on Legion World that only younger characters (mostly teens) can see. In it is a strange woman that tells the teen characters she's their Other Mother, and she lives in a fantastical place that makes all their dreams come true. However, she wants the kids to stay with her forever, and the more they say no, the more violent she becomes. She starts to attack the adult characters and staff through the exits from her lair that exist in the vents, and because they're psionically influenced to ignore and forget her, they're helpless against her attacks. It's up to the kids to go into the Other Mother's world and stop her once and for all, to save the adults and save themselves from a gruesome fate. ✦ Size: Limited plot, opt in. (Players may only send (1) character and characters must be teens.) ✦ Start Date: 4-26-17 ⟶ 5-29-17 GODS AMONG USWhen four otherdimensional time travelers start meddling with history, the Legion's timeline starts to fall apart. In a last ditch attempt to save the present, Brainiac 5 sends several Legionnaires into the past, so they can thwart the time travelers in their attempts to destroy the future. The Legionnaires will have to protect several of the greatest heroes of the 21st century -- Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Oracle, and Green Lantern -- to keep them from being killed before they're ever superheroes. In the process of saving the past, the Legionnaires will find themselves in a dystopian version of the 21st century, where Superman is an insane dictator that rules over the Earth, and will have to outsmart his regime to get access to the time travel device that will let them fix everything and stop the four meddling time travelers once and for all. ✦ Size: Limited plot, opt in. (Players may only send (1) character.). ✦ Start Date: 4-26-17 ⟶ 5-29-17 TIME RIPPLES Due to the damage to the timestream, 'aftershocks' are rippling through the universe, causing many people to suddenly be replaced by themselves from earlier in their histories or later in their futures. A psychic assassin has been hired to target the Legion of Super Heroes! Using mental techniques forbidden by UP law and taboo on Titan, they've linked the minds of many of the Legionnaires into a psychic daisychain. Hiding in their memories, the assassin seeks to find an opportune moment to kill one of them by aggravating one of their near-death experiences into either a fatal heart attack or total traumatic mental shutdown. With their minds linked, however, if one of them shuts down, they'll drag everyone with them. Teams of Legionnaires must explore one another's memories, racing against time before the mind slayer causes a deadly chain reaction. ✦ Size: Gamewide plot, opt in. Set the same time as "Legion of Doom." ✦ Start Date: 6-7-17 ⟶ 6-21-17 THE LEGION OF DOOM Banded together from remote galaxies are thirteen of the most sinister villains of all time: The Legion of Doom! Dedicated to a single objective: the conquest of the universe! Consisting of the frigid Captain Cold, the sinister mind of Sinestro, the awesome Bizarro and Solomon Grundy, the cunning Cheetah and the superintelligent computer android Brainiac, Black Manta and Grodd the Gorilla, the Toyman and the humorous but sinister Riddler, the feminine, yet ferocious, Giganta and the hideous Scarecrow, not to mention the evil genius and brilliant genius of Lex Luthor, this collection of the most sinister villains of all time are not content at meeting defeat time and time again in their home universe. Realizing that they have access to other worlds, the Legion of Doom invades this reality, staging an oddly non-violent crime wave that, nevertheless, seems to conceal a dangerous ulterior motive. ✦ Size: Limited plot, opt in. Set the same time as "The Mind Slayer." ✦ Start Date: 6-7-17 ⟶ 6-21-17 BODIES FOR RENT As the Legion has both the most advanced defenses and scientific devices in the galaxy aboard their headquarters, the PR branch of Brande's organization has talked them into allowing a super-science fair, saving valuable Coluan tax dollars in the inevitable explosion. One promising young genius has taken telepathic enhancement technology and moved it to a whole new level, creating a device he claims will hold someone's mind in the case that their body dies, to move it into a suitable donor after the fact! However, a slight miscalculation on his part causes the mind-saving field to fluctuate wildly, snatching the minds of all present and planting them in new, totally random bodies! This will take time to counteract, but a Legionnaire's work is never done, forcing them to do their duties with bodies and powers that are totally alien to them! ✦ Size: Gamewide event, opt in. Set the same time as "Heist of the Century" and "The Lemurian Adventure." ✦ Start Date: 6-28-17 ⟶ 7-15-17 HEIST OF THE CENTURY Someone has been going through and stealing treasures and artifacts belonging to the greatest heroes of history, literally stealing the legacies that the Legion is built on! As he walks off with the trophies representing the victories of great heroes like Superman, Green Lantern, and Valor, as well as their harshest defeats, riddles are found at the scene of almost every crime. Can the Legion decipher them in time before the mysterious puzzle master has left nothing to inspire those who will come after them? ✦ Size: Limited plot, opt in. (Players may only send (1) character). Set the same time as "Bodies For Rent" and "The Lemurian Adventure." ✦ Start Date: 6-28-17 ⟶ 7-15-17 THE LEMURIAN ADVENTURE Lemuria! Named for the distant relatives of sunken Atlantis, this beautiful city exists at the bottom of the oceans of this beautiful water world, its inhabitants only protected by a gorgeous transparent shield reinforced by force fields. It isn't officially a member of the United Planets. In fact, it's been courting the Affiliated Planets instead. However, when underworld meddling leads to the dome's structural integrity being compromised, followed by the revelation that the force fields aren't up to spec, the planetary government isn't too picky about who it asks for help. The Legion must evacuate, halt further damage, and attempt repairs before the dome collapses completely, crushing them, and the people they're trying to protect, under billions of gallons of water. ✦ Size: Gamewide plot, opt in. Set the same time as "Heist of the Century" and "Bodies For Rent." ✦ Start Date: 6-28-17 ⟶ 7-15-17 MEDIA SHENANIGANSA new Legion Watch and/or Legionnaire Legacies. ✦ Size: Gamewide event, opt in. ✦ Start Date: 7-31-17-ish IC ANON MEME✦ Size: Gamewide event, opt in. ✦ Start Date: 7-31-17 RESISTANCE IS FUTILE A threat connected to the Brainiac line rises up and starts spreading a techno-organic nano-virus that converts organic life to mindless zombie robots that are part of a collective completely dedicated to consuming and converting every organic in the UP. The only beings immune to the nano-virus are the Roboticans, due to their zombie preparedness technological protections against viruses and outside interference. When Brainiac 5 is taken out of the picture, the Legion must rely on the other big brains on the team for their tech and programming wizardry as the team goes zombie-hunting and helps the Roboticans stop the entire UP from getting assimilated. ✦ Size: Gamewide plot, opt in. Set during "An Eye For An Eye." ✦ Start Date: 8-5-17 ⟶ 8-26-17 AN EYE FOR AN EYE While the rest of the UP is reeling from techno-zombie infection, the Spectre attacks Takron Galtos, the UP's highest security prison, and starts killing inmates -- some of which are villains and criminals the Legionnaires themselves have put in jail. The Legionnaires that respond will have to decide where they stand on protecting the lives of the Spectre's villainous victims, and will have to figure out who among them can wield the Spear of Destiny against the Spectre. And those that have shed innocent blood themselves may find themselves in the Spectre's crosshairs. ✦ Size: Limited plot, opt in. (Players may only send (1) character.) Set during "Resistance is Futile." ✦ Start Date: 8-5-17 ⟶ 8-26-17 DISCUSSION/QUESTIONS Player plots and events may run alongside any of these plots, so feel free to propose and run any in the upcoming months. Player plots can be run as open for the whole game or be private to a few predetermined characters. If you have suggestions for something else to add to the lineup, or feel there's a gap that needs filling, please let us know.
