Character Name: Kubo
Character Fandom: Kubo and the Two Strings
Basic personality: A theatrical, friendly kid seeking out happiness and stories because his own life has been short on happiness. He's very proud of and loves his dead parents and his stories right now are all about them.
What has happened to them recently?: Kubo's straight from his world, where he spent the last two years being the primary caretaker for his grandfather, the Moon King, who took Kubo's eye when he was a baby and ordered Kubo's aunts to kill Kubo's mother and father, which they did, in front of Kubo. Grandpa's an amnesiac and in his current defeated mortal state is usually a kind old man, not nasty enough to blame for his actions as the Moon King, but that relationship is as complicated as you could expect. Prior to that he was his mother's caretaker, so he's really not had any time in his life when he wasn't responsible for someone else's wellbeing.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Kubo needs someone to teach him how to better use the Sword Unbreakable, more in a manner befitting the son of a mighty samurai. He will also be putting on lots of shows with his shamisen and origami magic, and needs people to tell him tales of the Legion that he can start working into his shows. Also, people to commiserate with re: his family situation, which is complicated and sad and weird.

Also I think he could kind of relate to some of that stuff. His own mother abandoned him when he was two at the Wolf House and he was then raised by a wolf goddess. His father also "gave him" to Juno in a sense because otherwise Juno might have killed him out of jealousy. He never really met his dad until, like, this past month because his dad is king of the gods and can't show favoritism. So, yeah, family stuff. Jason relates. And let's not even get started on the responsibilities thing...Jason had some issues there that only recently got sorted out as well.

Basic personality: Uh, evil? She's arrogant, ruthless, and ambitious and also a touch unstable. But she has so far been trying to play be Legion rules.
What has happened to them recently?: She's just arrived at the Legion and has mostly been meeting people and getting to know this new place. However she is involved in Murder World, for more about that, see below.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: I am planning to really push Azula hard in Murder World, in hopes of helping her become a bit more of a team player (or just completely losing it, who knows?). She's starting off in Car Wars, where she'll discover that her powers have been nerfed. Day 2, I don't know where I'm putting her but she'll be dealing with a muttation based off her mother, with whom she has issues. Then Day 3 she finally gets to kill something. So currently mostly looking for people to help out with that stuff - I've been involved with some Plurk planning but always open to more.

I want to manipulate these two into talking about mothers at some point, which is likely to happen, because Kubo's mom was an ultra boss badass moon princess and he loved her more than life itself. Then she died for him. He'll talk about her at the drop of a hat.

Aside from that I just . . . want CR between these two. Besides their cultural similarities, Kubo has the evil abusive royal family background in common with Azula, but went in a very different direction from it.

(That said if Azula ever feels inclined to tell him glorious tales of the time a Fire Nation admiral darkened the moon, boy will Kubo nod along enthusiastically.)

Basic personality: Just a ordinary dude from Long Island that got superpowers, spent a few years as a hero in the bush leagues, and became massively overpowered and pulled head first into a terrible space war. Dependable, incredibly stubborn, compassionate, generally good-humored, and dealing with some heavy shit from fighting in several space wars/crazy cosmic conflicts. Slowing down a little bit from all the saving-the-day on his own is going to lead him to start thinking a little too much about things he's been trying to avoid. Occasionally has self esteem issues and thinks he's nothing special ("just a guy from Long Island") despite being a Big Damn Hero in space all the time.
What has happened to them recently?: I just tossed him into Murderworld
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Hit me with Murderworld plans and plans for after! Murderworld will be rough but probably not too traumatizing for him.

In general, I'd really love to have Rich just making more friends and possibly mentoring some of the younger people. He's kind of a consummate big bro at heart and I'd like to play with that a lot. As one of the relatively older people in the game, I'd also love for him to keep making grownup friends so they can all drink and share stories.

I'd also like to play around a bit with how he's a touch too self-sacrificial. Some characters have been starting to call him on that and it's definitely an avenue I want to explore, him realizing he's actually allowed to be a little selfish now and again. After going for so long on his own, he needs to learn to rely on his friends again.

What has happened to them recently?: Robbie hasn't been on Legionworld long, but he's already found out 2 of his friends are kinda not dead, he can't decide which Pines twin he likes best, and he's sort of pitching in at Brainiac's lab. Folks who can help her with that would be great. Other ordinary fish-out-of-water types to kind of share in the sheer "what the actual fuck" would be great, but I'm also down for her being completely blindsided by Actual Experienced Heroes wondering why this (currently) plain-looking woman is walking around with a Legionnare ring.

She also needs to have someone encourage her to get a costume designed. And I need to come up with ideas for that.

What kind of specific plans do you have for her paper powers? Because obviously she and Kubo should hang out and be paper pals! His powers limit him pretty strictly to small pieces of origami paper, though, with the option of manipulating larger pieces if his music is amplified, but maybe he could teach her a thing or two about origami if she's into that sort of thing.

Basic personality: Donut's all smiles and good intentions, but he doesn't mind spilling blood. Of course, it's not his favorite thing to do. That would be hanging out with his friends making happy memories. Donut doesn't care about divisions like red team or blue team, or whether your human, or alien, or a robot. He likes everyone equally unless they give him cause to dislike them like blowing him up (looking at you Tex). Donut acts like a kid wanting to have fun half the time and the other half he tends to annoy people.
What has happened to them recently?: Donut is learning how to use his powers.

Basic personality: Actual fish princess from Atlantis, because comics. Perpetual D-lister who doesn't realize she's a D-lister. Cheerful, friendly, self-assured, a bit careless. Stubborn as a mule, especially in matters of morality. Not a mean bone in her body, but more than few smartass ones. Genuinely as nice, kind-hearted, and guileless as she seems. Overconfidence is likely to get her killed one day.
What has happened to them recently?: She just got here, took about 30 seconds to think before joining the Legion, and is currently kicking around Murderworld being mostly unaffected because her life has been in constant danger from dynastic politics or superhero bullshit since she was a baby, so she doesn't really notice. The thing she is most annoyed about currently is losing her mutant flight powers, what nonsense is this.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: My Murderworld schedule is mostly wide open. Nita will jump into any fight on the side of the underdog without thinking, and despite her overconfidence, she actually is really good in combat. She's not going to put in an appearance for Car Wars because deserts are really bad for her and the first thing she'd do is hightail it right back out of the zone. Starting about mid-afternoon on Day 2, she'll have Finnick's trident (thx Wash!)

Upon returning from Murderworld none the worse for wear, she's going to have to face her Issues--which aren't all that severe, to be honest. She's pretty relieved (but won't admit it unless pressed) that she doesn't have to deal with the stuff at home that went down during her time travel shenanigans just yet. A lot has happened to her in a short amount of time, yes, but her head is screwed on straight and she's not scared to feel things, so if anyone wants to be confused by the fact someone around here is emotionally competent, I guess that could be a thing. :P

In general she's better as the one people are having emotions at rather than the one doing the emoting, because she's very compassionate and non-judgmental, but will absolutely call bullshit on bad behavior.

Basic personality: Grif is a lazy, sarcastic jerkass who likes to eat and not do work. He’s not actually a horrible person and is slowly growing up a bit here, but he’s not a willing participant in that and is very invested in being the team asshole. A lot of that is because he doesn’t really believe he can be better, and knows he's way out of his depth. Grif cares about the team, is kind of upset about it, and definitely doesn’t want the team to know because he's really not good at caring about anything.
What has happened to them recently?: He's in the murder world arena at the moment (I still need to do top level stuff oops). He recently made one of his periodic posts demanding newbies tell him about their powers, helped (for a given value of help) chase Reaper around the habitat deck, and (in a moment of weakness) agreed to do powers training (which he regretted immediately).
He also wants to make sure Donut stays okay but dies a little inside every time they talk.

Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: As a leader to a group of heroes in his own world, I really like the idea of Jason teaming up with as many of the younger/teen heroes here as possible. Not that he necessarily wants to be their leader, but he really wants to make new friends. That's sort of become his main goal is to make friends with people here.

As a side note, Jason is a demigod and son of Jupiter. So if there are others who are considered in the demigod category or who are involved in the more mystic side of things that could be fun.

Basic personality: Gruff, blunt, bitter, sardonic. Lots of inarticulate growling. Crazy stubborn. Headstrong and volatile. Gives no more fucks. Exhausted, exasperated, extremely salty, and generally just not very nice.
What has happened to them recently?: MOSTLY JUST GOT HERE. Got strongarmed into taking the oath. Snooped around and beat up Reaper. Is now on Murderworld getting his rambo on and generally just being very embarrassing.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: As I expect a lot of his initial encounters to be antagonistic (he’s grumpy), I’d love to try and seek out people he might get along with or tolerate, too. He’s a hardcore military-type and will probably do well with other hardcore military-types, mercenaries, or fellow professionals, if only because they might *~*~*understand each other*~*~*. Most neutral encounters will probably be awkward because he’s awkward, but that’s okay because I love awkward. THROW WHATEVER AT ME FOR NOW I CAN TAKE IT.

Basic personality: Wash is one of those guys who is gruff and irritable on the outside and friendly and compassionate beneath it. It's a lot easier to get to the compassion nowadays, and while he has a lot more patience for people being idiots around him, that doesn't mean he appreciates it.
What has happened to them recently?: Got his ass handed to him in Tinker Tailor Hero Spy, made a terrible decision regarding Reaper, and has generally been trying to get back on an even keel.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: He's in Murderworld for now, and I'm always down for doing things there. I'm also up for pre-Murderworld threads.
For CR purposes, what Wash needs most is friends he doesn't feel like he has to mentor/worry about/protect. He's been taking care of a lot of people, and he needs to unwind and maybe have adult conversation that isn't 1) emotionally fraught or 2) Grif pretending to be an adult.
That said, he's taken to adopting younger Legion members, so if you need someone to dad at your character, he's getting fairly good at it.

Basic personality: An aggressive vengeance-filled asshole, stubborn, aloof, and especially after becoming Reaper, it'd only gotten worse. When he is not being any of these things, he's fiercely private, sarcastic, and does not give a fuck about what other people think.

What has happened to them recently?: Getting into fights with literally everyone. He got one of his precious Hellfire shotguns stolen by Wash. Got into a fight with Jack (and probably kicked his ass). Got some good information and stuff from Ana. Had a staring contest with Reinhardt because he ain't goin' near that crushing machine. And now he's in Murderworld, killing Warboys and begrudgingly teaming up with people. It's his own personal hell.

Reaper needs some major reconciliation w/ his old teammates before he can even think about getting along with most of the Legionnaires, but I do love awkward CR. Any kind of CR is welcome, though, because there's fun in a challenge like that. ♥

Basic personality: Gohan's kind of a well-meaning nerd with top-tier martial arts skills and shit-tier socializing skills. He's friendly and idealistic and wants to help everyone. But at the same time, he doesn't know how to talk to people very well, and isn't sure what to say when confronted with sarcasm or some such. He just really wants to do his best at being a superhero, and maybe actually figure out what his place in the world is supposed to be now that he's not trying to be his dad.
What has happened to them recently?: Well, he's in Murderworld right now, and has a safe haven camp set up in the Temperate Zone, because he's kind of stubborn and refuses to play Arcade's game of killing people to survive. Before that though, he was mostly just... hanging out with Videl and trying to actually go on dates with her. This is how I'm explaining where he's been while I've been active with Reinhardt shhhhh

He's so used to his family's friends, that his lack of actual friends is kind of causing him to keep to himself more often than he should. Basic personality: SO SWEET AND CHEERFUL. At first. Then possibly a pigheaded jerk once you get to know her. ♥ She witnessed the gruesome deaths of her parents at a young age, then the gruesome death of her fiance years later. She's a weird ball of unhealthy relationships and paranoia underneath a friendly exterior.
What has happened to them recently?: She just got here! She took the oath and she doesn't know a soul yet.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: She's not in Murderworld, so she's hanging around and probably going to take part in whatever's happening with everyone who stayed behind.

AND I want all kinds of CR! Shion loves kids and artificial beings (she was a counselor for AIs in her spare time back home because all she does is work). I'm also pretty sure she'll end up with negative CR at some point because she's not always great with authority so I'm sure there'll be friction on missions at some point.

Uhhh, also she's from 4,000 years or so into the future so all of legion's technology is a cakewalk for her. She was a top programmer and engineer in her world, so... yeah!

What has happened to them recently?: Mabel's been chatting up lots of people and making friends left and right. She's also in murderworld, and I seriously need to get my butt in gear and actually do something there.

What has happened to them recently?: Space jail! He was framed, he tells ya! FRAMED! Slightly before that, attempted to train a bunch of flowers to maybe be combat ready. They mostly just acted cute.

Basic personality: Snarky chill dudebro on the surface, quietly paranoid and overly analytical nerd underneath. Takes care of his people and has a live in bestie Delta (An AI) that lives in his brain.
What has happened to them recently?: NOTHING! He'll be waking up when I get back and that'll be...a thing considering what went down before he arrived. (A firefight with an old rival/partner against another rival/partner that ended pretty badly.) He's not sure if it turned out allright but hey, he's here, he's got Delta, and he's...pretty sure it's gonna be okay? Maybe? Someone point him to a bar please.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Powers aren't a thing where York comes from outside of extensive genetic tampering and experimentation so he'll be a little thrown and need some help with not making everything he touches grenades. Once he gets a handle on that- sparring partners, coding partners, found family and building up positive (and negative he can be kind of a dick not gonna lie) CR. He's lived in more or less complete isolation to keep himself and Delta safe for the past few years and as a social creature? Not that easy for him. Knowing he and D are beyond the reach of the Project and that it's OK to talk to people will be good for both of them.
