This is the periodic Gamewide HMD meme!

✦ The Gamewide HMD is optional. If you opt out of participating in the gamewide hmd, please at least have an hmd up in your journal.

✦ This is not a love meme but it is okay to tell a player what they're doing well. Please also keep this constructive and let them know what it is you like so they know to keep doing it.

✦ If you ask for crit please also give some to other players. While we can't enforce this because some of it will be anon, the mod team would like to ask players to please try to give at least three other players crit.

✦ Please keep crit polite and constructive.

✦ Please escalate severe or repeat issues to the mods, if appropriate. If repeated attempts at constructive crit don't bear any fruit, there are rules for the many possible causes of this: bad player behavior, ICA=ICC, IC /=OOC, characters having to be IC, etc. If frustrating problems consistently happen without any improvement, it is possible they're verging on a rule break, so if that is the case, rather than letting things devolve into hostility, please escalate things and contact the mods to see what steps can be taken next.

Please let us know if anything is bothering you, if you have suggestions for improvements in how the game is run, if you have any crit for how the game's npcs are handled, if there are things you like that you want us to keep doing, or if there are certain things you want to see in the future.

This is also a good place to ask questions or make suggestions about the overarching plot.

You can request specific player plots and mod plots here and talk about what elements of the mod plot you'd like to see most throughout the game here. But if you have any questions about the next leg of the mod plot or want to discuss what's coming in the near future, you can feel free to under this comment.

For anything with Brainiac 5 or other npcs, please hit the mod comment up above. I play Brainy but a lot of things with the npcs are mutually decided on.

I'm especially curious about Nick since he's the newest.

I'll be working on my speed! I know I've been working in weird spurts, picking away at things. I've at least been trying to rotate said spurts around to different players. Hell semester is almost over though and now that my core courses are done it should get better from here.

This is the first game I've appd her to that I haven't dropped like the next day, so she's not a character I'm all that experienced with. Also, I know I'm a really slow tagger and that's not likely to ever change.

I've really enjoyed her so far! I'll admit I'm not the most canon familiar since it's been along time since I've seen DBZ but she has that nice blend of being a little hard-headed and brash without being really nasty about it.

That's sometimes a hard line walk on and you're balancing it well. She comes off a little stubborn but basically still a good person.

I've been kind of active in furious bursts followed by radio silence and for that I apologize. I've also not been good at tagging out on logs like I want to be, and will confess they're tougher for me for some reason? IDK

I know, my schedule is awful. I'm remodeling parts of my mother's house at the moment and some days all I do afterwards is flop into bed and read comics. Sorry. I'm making an effort to be better at swift response times, but some days I'm just kind of uuuuugh afterwards.

Somehow you've made me like the power ranger I used to find the most boring as a kid.

I love how he feels like a product of his time, and how he goes at things trying to apply his own experience as a power ranger to them even if they might not work. Then other times he sometimes comes up with simple but actually really effective ideas.

He's a character that could be very bland but you've made it so he has a very distinct voice.

Son Gohan/Great Saiyaman - fourstars/onthespot

Pretty confident in my Gohan, but this is the first time I've played Saiyaman, and I haven't had much of a chance to play up his theatrics. I also realize I'm slow as hell, so I apologize profusely for that.

I think you've done a good job with him being Saiyaman. The theatrics definitely come across but it's also clear he's trying his best to be a good superhero, so it has that nice blend of silliness and making it so it's still possible to be able to take Gohan seriously as a hero.

People joke about his name but Gohan himself doesn't come off as a joke, if that makes any sense.

It does. That's kind of how it comes across in canon too. Like, his hero name and theatrics are absolutely absurd, but no one can really argue with the results. The difference is that Saiyaman has always dealt with street-level crime, and Gohan's the one that tackles the more serious stuff. The only real example of Saiyaman tackling a larger threat was Movie 13, where he fights a giant monster. And the moment things get serious, there is a JARRING shift between Saiyaman theatrics, and Gohan getting ready to beat someone down.

ANYWAY, rambling aside, I'm glad it's coming off okay! This is a constant source of worry.
