ENDGAME PART 3

SUMMARY

In the last phase of their fight against Chronoblivion, the Legion has found themselves in a sprawling dimensional wasteland, with their flight rings dead. The only way to stop Chronoblivion is to get the Miracle Machine close enough to Its core self to work, something that's near impossible without the ability to fly.

Fortunately, the Legion Outpost has crashed its way into Chronoblivion's shell and the staff have stumbled on something strange that has manifested due to time and space breaking down outside: the vehicles from the Road War that happened in Murderworld.

Now the Legionnaires must face down a blast from the past and transform and roll out, surviving Catastrophists and mercenary Warboys pulled through time long enough to make it down the final road before them.

WITNESS ME

BASICS

The Road War will take place over desert and the alien landscapes of dead worlds. The team will be besieged by some of the flying Catastrophist "parademons" that have broken through the outside team's defenses, and mercenary Warboys pulled through time from Murderworld (a battle in the Legion's past). A great and terrible void is consuming the landscape behind the two caravans, and any cars or trucks that are stopped and anyone that falls off the caravan will cease to exist. The Legionnaires have to try to get themselves, the device, and their allies to the end of the line, to have a chance to save existence.

PLOT PARTS

KEEP AWAY

The players must engage in the ultimate game of Keep-Away, passing the device back and forth to each other any time there's risk of it falling into the hands of the enemy.

Players can opt to write a single post of their character snagging the device and passing it on to just have a fun splash page moment or team up with a friend or two to get the device passed along. Players should keep their posts set up with the same structure of a post starting with them being tossed or intercepting a pass of the device, and with the post or interaction ending with them having to pass the device on.

As long as players follow the rules about how posts or interactions start and end with passing the device on, players can set these threads up the way they usually do with plots, noting if the interaction is open or closed.

WITNESS ME

The caravan must be defended so that the device and the team can reach the end of the road. The Catastrophists and Warboys will be trying their hardest to destroy the team, the Miracle Machine, and the Legion's vehicles, so Legionnaires must fight their enemies in a last desperate to defend themselves, their rides, the device, and each other.

They can do this many ways, such as by fighting enemies on top of vehicles, taking over enemy vehicles and crashing them into other enemy vehicles, and hitching rides on or in smaller Legion-controlled cars and trucks to go act as boarding parties on enemy rides.

The fight is a free for all and players can have their characters do anything to enemy cars and trucks that their characters can think of. Due to the desperate nature of the fight and the difficulty in not causing harm to enemies, the Legion will consider fatal force justified if necessary.

In this section, players can set up prompts like usual and should note if they're open or closed.

ENEMIES

Catastrophists: Decked out like the Parademons of yore, the Catastrophists will be attacking the caravan from the air, wearing jet packs. Thanks to the multidimensional nature of the wreckage in Chronoblivion's shell, they've obtained many dangerous high-powered energy weapons, some of which can even hurt people with powers that make them less vulnerable to attack. Their jetpacks make them highly maneuverable but present an explosive target for Legionnaires to potentially hit.

Mercenary Warboys: Primarily ground-based, the Warboys (and some Wargirls) are mercenaries brought through time from the Legion's past mission in Murderworld. They've been talked into fighting with the Catastrophists, told that if they kill the Legion and destroy the device, that they'll be saved from the void.

They will be attacking from a vehicle caravan that has caught up with the Legion, weaving their vehicles in and out of the Legion's vehicles as they attack. They're armed with a similar variety of weapons as the Catastrophists, and with exploding "thunder sticks" explosive-tipped spears that they'll be throwing at the team and their vehicles. They'll be using weapons attached to their vehicles to cause damage to the Legion's vehicles as well. They're very skilled at jumping from one car to the other using swinging poles and devices like grappling hooks.

OPT OUTS

As this attack is for endgame and there's nowhere to escape to, players can no longer opt out. That said, if they would prefer to focus oocly on part 1 and 2 of the overall endgame plot, they can simply handwave any participation in endgame parts they don't want to focus on.
