Earth Field Trip [MOD PLOT]
It's go time!
The Earth Field Trip is ready to go!
Here are the different sections:
The Trip Over
There's a slight wait to use the threshold gates to gate down to Earth. For anyone that wants to ask about Earth before they go, or ask questions of their chaperone Timber Wolf about traveling around the UP in general, you can IClY post your character asking them here.
New Metropolis - Don't forget the buddy system!
Here is where characters can visit New Metropolis in all it's glory! Here is where characters can team up, have fun and look around.
There is a post below in the comments where you can ask questions about any nitty gritty details that you need for specific cultures you want your character to learn more about (you can see the UP member worlds in this post here), but when it comes to most things, you are free to make up strange foods, art, and other details as you see fit.
If you'd like your character to be able to speak to a random npc on the street to find out more about alien cultures, Earth, or public perception of the UP Council or the Legion, there will be a place to request that in the comments below.
Elsewhere
Want to toss your character into a place other than New Metropolis? Fortunately, worldwide travel means other countries and cities are just a threshold gate away. This is where you can thread out characters taking a quick trip to another location in the world.
There will be a space below to request descriptions of other locations if you'd like to have your character check out another place.
The Lost Legion Memorial
Want your character to learn about the missing Legionnaires? They can comment here, push a button at one of the kiosks and get a random profile of one of the Legionnaires that were lost. Simply comment ICly with your character doing so and we'll surprise you.
The UP Council
The new Legionnaires have an open invitation to visit the UP Council hall and speak to UP council members from a variety of worlds. You can pick a planet from here and put the name of it in your comment heading for the mods to npc some delegates from that planet talking to your character and answering questions -- or engaging in some political double talk to avoid answering them.
You can also requested "President Wazzo" for your character to talk to the UP president -- after all she'll probably grab the odd Legionnaire to speak to them as she hangs out with her rambunctious grandkid in her personal office.
You don't have to comment to this section if you plan on participating in the plot to rescue the UP Council. That will be a subthread that is posted when that part of the plot is due to play out on 3/7/16 and you can have your character just show up right when the action starts if you like. Please sign up oocly for that here.
