MOD SIGNUPS
Hey, Legionnaires!
Due to the game getting progressively plottier, the mod team is looking to pick up some mod help so the main mods can focus a little more on plot-running/npcing. We're also going to change up our app judging process a bit.
We're hoping to gain any of the following:
- 1 new Main/App Mod
- 2 new App mods
- 1 Plot mod
- 1 List mod
Here's what each role does:
Main/App Mod
✦ Judges apps
✦ Activity Checks
✦ Updating Taken, Contact, and Villain NPC list for any AC-related drops
✦ Answering faq/setting questions. Only mods canon-familiar with Legion/DC comics have to worry about setting-related questions.
✦ Mod hmd/discipline issues/complaints.
✦ Setting up/running Plots. Npcing. For any DC or Legion-specific npcs or plot elements, only mods canon-familiar with Legion have to handle those parts. However, many parts of plots involve generic npcs, generic sci fi elements, or made up situations that require no actual setting knowledge to run and we'd like some help with these. (As an example, The Faceless from Silent Horizon was made up for that plot, so any mod can help with similar npcs).
✦ General/policy/discipline mod decisions require only 2 mods to weigh in to make a choice. The only exception are large-scale changes to the structure of the game. These will require majority, with 3 mods.
App Mod
✦ App judgement.
✦ Formulating responses to apps, like revision requests.
✦ We're changing our app process slightly. App decisions will require 2 mods to weigh in and 1 must be a main mod. The other can either be an app mod or second main mod. Our process is usually a main mod makes a plurk to a private clique to judge an app or batch of apps and whatever mods get to it first judge it.
Plot Mod
✦ Help with setting up/running Plots. Npcing.
List Mod
✦ Update Reserve, Taken, Contact lists after app approvals
✦ Update Taken, Contact, and Villain NPC list after non-AC related Drops
✦ The head mod usually delegates updates between the individual list mods and tries to rotate turns so no single mod has to do all the work.
A Note: Modding at the game is actually pretty easy. The head mod delegates and rotates duties around to make sure the workload is fair and everyone knows what they need to be doing at any given time. A lot of the lists are set up for simple copy and paste. For anyone willing to take on a mod role that involves plot or npcing, the mod team works within people's limits. Plot elements or npcing that require heavy LOSH or DC knowledge are handled by the mods that have that knowledge, and those without it are given more generic sci fi things to handle. We'd also provide a lot of specific instruction on how to set things up or run them.
Since a lot of general decisions and app decisions only require two mods out of the pool to make a decision, decisions are pretty quick and each mod doesn't have to weigh in on every single app or issue.
Please volunteer below if you're interested, and let us know which role(s) you'd be willing to be considered for. Comments are screened.
