Ban Announcement
Unfortunately the mod team has had to ban Mat, player of Sariatu and the recently apped Roxy Lalonde, from the game, due to an ooc exchange that had an extreme instance of toxic behavior.
The mod team fully understands that disagreements happen, and in most non-game discussions, we treat things as if we do not have jurisdiction. However, there is one situation, stated in the rules, where it can impact someone's status in the game. As the rules state:
We reserve the right to administer disciplinary actions for non-game-related communications if the incident is severe enough and demonstrates hostile attitudes towards other people.
This incident involved a political discussion where a mod and others were cursed out and otherwise insulted for disagreeing with the player in question over the use of nuclear bombs. Civil disagreement over politics is fine, but there is a certain point where a player's behavior in how they discuss things with others becomes too toxic for the mods to look away, especially if those they are arguing with have remained civil.
Due to the small size of the game and the difficulty players have in avoiding other players who have demonstrated toxic behavior, we do ban players based on extreme incidents like this. If any players would like to discuss concerns about this, you may do so on the mod contact. We are also willing to furnish pastebins in the spirit of transparency, if any players have concerns about the cause of the ban.
Note: The privacy of the comms was originally set to allow comments from all registered users, as we didn't really see much issue with it, we've now locked it to only allow comments from current members.
