o/ I never posted an intro post so I'll just use this meme for that. Hi, I'm Kira, in CET, and my plurk is

Character: Fëanor
Basic personality: Knows no chill. Pratty elf prince/king who is used to be near the top of the food chain and ignoring those above him when he doesn't agree. Arrogant, but not a bad person. Just not particularly patient. Likes smithwork, technology and inventing stuff. Language/linguistics nerd.
What has happened to them recently?: Arrived, took the oath, found out the hard way what no gravity means.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character:
- I really want all CR that isn't romantic (he's married with lots of kids)
- CR can always start out as a research session on your character's language, world, or whatever. He is the kind of nerd that will want to gather all this information, relevant or not.
- Travel company! He will want to do all the travelling, so if your character is interested in that too, let's do it together?

I'd love to keep tossing Zuko at him after the plot! I think they'd have an interesting dynamic. They have very strong personalities and have the royalty thing going on but Zuko's younger and a lot less confident and Feanor seems very sure of himself and sort of used to being a leader and I think we could get some interesting things out of that.

Also Zuko'd be hesitant to talk about some aspects of his world but still be willing to talk about it so if Feanor is curious about researching the Four Nations that'd be fun to play.

And I want Zuko to travel around, too, because he's interested in all the strange things in this world so I'd love for them to be travel buddies.

I'd also love to toss Rich at him. We could probably get some interesting things out of the fact that both are used to people listening to them as leaders. (And maybe even have them butt heads at one point).

Zuko and Fëanor really have a lot in common (like the fire theme), just with very different histories attached to it (that could actually be interesting to explore, if it ever comes up - their relationships with their fathers are like almost polar opposites).

I want to post sometime soon (after the plot outcome has been released) with Fëanor, maybe that could start things off - or well, depending on how the plot pans out one of them might come to find the other later. We'll see.

Rich could be interesting! It isn't hard to butt heads with Fëanor, especially if you're a lot like him in the wrong ways, so that might well happen (but doesn't happen to)

Character: Zuko
Basic personality: Zuko is kind of a walking failboat of a human being. Part of it is natural social awkwardness, part of it isn't really his fault because he was abused pretty badly by his father. Zuko's very short-tempered, overemotional, and stubborn to a fault, but he's also compassionate, occasionally even kind, and his stubbornness takes a more positive form in his incredible drive, which he's now directed at trying to do good in his world. Zuko's the kind of person that, if he were watching a bad guy drive away in a car, would run towards it T1000 style trying to catch up on foot.
What has happened to them recently?: Zuko's started to meet people and train Tadashi. And he was involved in the ship breaking down because of the Lux.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: As an ongoing thing, Zuko is going to be doing a thing where he admits he's done some bad things in the past and that he comes from a nation that's done some bad things but he's going to downplay his past horrible actions a tetch in the game, largely because it's the first time he'll be somewhere where he can be looked at as a genuine hero. After being an exile and then essentially a reformed villain, that's kind of novel.

Ultimately, like most things, it probably WILL blow up in his face when the depth of his past bad actions are somehow made known. I'd really like to toss him at good natured, patient people so he can maybe learn to be a bit more zen. I'd also really love any possible familial relationships. Barring his uncle and his mother (who got sent away after killing his grandfather to save Zuko from being put to death) Zuko's family seriously blows. I'd love to get more positive friendships/familial relationships in his life.

I'd really like to do some field trippy stuff where he explores alien worlds with others on his downtime. Maybe some of these trips can be interrupted with some action, like a crime that needs to be stopped.

Character: Nova / Rich Rider
Basic personality: Just a ordinary dude from Long Island that got superpowers, spent a few years as a hero in the bush leagues, and become massively overpowered and pulled head first into a terrible space war. Dependable, incredibly stubborn, compassionate, generally good-humored, and dealing with some heavy shit from fighting in several space wars/crazy cosmic conflicts. He'll be adjusting to the fact he's, you know, not dead, which is novel considering the last thing he remembers before being pulled here is sacrificing himself to get his friends home from another dimension and dissipating into energy. Slowing down is going to lead him to start thinking a little too much about things he's been trying to avoid.

Occasionally has self esteem issues and thinks he's nothing special ("just a guy from Long Island") despite being a Big Damn Hero in space all the time.

What has happened to them recently?: Rich has started the process of adjusting to living again and has been making friends and trying to get involved in things. After running into trouble during the Lux plot he's coming to grips with the idea that he's way weaker without his powers.

Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character:I'd like to start working him into plots, where he can start offering his experience to others, both in good ways and bad. (Good, because he has lots of it, bad because if someone else is leading he might step up and try to take charge before remembering he's not the leader). I'd really like to have him form close relationships in the longterm so he has a mentor dynamic with younger characters and a battle buddy dynamic with older ones.

Character: Parker / Payback

Basic personality: Parker is socially awkward with a somewhat tenuous grasp of social norms. This doesn't stop her from being one of (if not the) world's best thieves and a terrifying criminal mastermind. However, she's only terrifying to people who abuse their power; she's strictly running Robin Hood-meets-Ocean's Eleven style crimes, proving that sometimes bad guys make the best good guys. She's a thrill-seeker and an adrenaline junkie, but she just wants to help people -- especially if there's a kid she sees herself in, because she never had anyone looking out for her. She's comfortable with violence, but it's not her preferred tactic when she can escape (to the air vents, out the nearest window however high up, etc) instead. She has a good heart and the kind of mind that rotates problems until a solution clicks itself into place.

She's also sneaky enough that it almost seems like she can teleport. It's eerie.

What has happened to them recently?: Parker has been crawling around in the ventilation shafts to familiarize herself with them, and throwing herself off of high places to test out her flight ring. If you want to have seen her doing the latter, that's great; she's a little more discreet about the former. She has also managed to develop something of a rapport with Brainiac 5.

Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Parker is pretty weird for most people, but largely friendly. She (with her team) has also stolen a list of ridiculous things, including 'a mountain' (twice), 'a human heart', 'the Department of Defense', and 'an entire country'. She also reflexively pickpockets people she bumps into, so she might turn up with something belonging to your character and an apology.

We definitely need to throw Zuko and Parker together more to be blunt-buddies. And Rich and her need to do the "you're a cop?" "don't worry, I'm not a narc" thing we planned.

And feel free to make any requests for interaction with Brainy. I definitely have a strong enough voice for him to make him pretty available for anyone who wants.

She will take him under her wing and teach him to pick locks! Or at least to familiarize him with various technological surveillance tools so that he knows what to look for.

I am also considering an open post for Parker either terrorizing people by popping out of vents or by jumping off of high things so she can fly. Plz enjoy your heart-attack, Rich.

Character: Tadashi Hamada / Sunfire

Basic personality: Tadashi is basically the perfect big brother. He's smart, he's patient, he's kind, and he will ride in on his scooter at the exact moment you need to be rescued. He also lo-jacked all your hoodies and shakes you upside-down by the ankles when you get inventor's block, at least if you're his actual little brother.

When it comes down to it, Tadashi is just a really nice guy and a supportive friend who strongly believes that someone ought to help people, and why shouldn't that person be him? But he doesn't exactly think clearly in high-stress situations, which is going to be a bit of a problem when he's running around being a super hero.

What has happened to them recently?: Tadashi has been meeting with the Legion's therapist to discuss the whole "die in a fire" situation, and also about how badly he's worried about and missing his little brother. He's also started training with Zuko to get better control of his powers.

Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Tadashi will probably start making more of an effort to talk to other people -- he really just wants to be helpful and make sure that everyone on his new team is doing okay.

I'd really like to play out some of Zuko and Tadashi's training, and also maybe Tadashi tugging zuko along into something fun. I kinda love the idea of them going to some kind of amusement park or whatever and Zuko's just frowning with his arms crossed on every ride.

Also I'd love if Rich and him hung out. Rich can maybe help him adjust to heroing.

I am all for a post for training! And Tadashi will undoubtedly be planning to drag Zuko off to do something fun as soon as he realizes that Zuko isn't just seriousface guy but actually NEEDS something fun.

And I'll probably put up an open post for Tadashi at some point in the near future where he's wandering around trying to meet people, so he and Rich can get their intros there.

Character: Saralegui / Sovereign
Basic personality: Very pretty young king with a tendency for scheming and a boatload of issues. More accustomed to doing things subtly and on his own and hiding the shit that isn't good for his public image (like his very creepy mind control powers), so this whole "being a hero and part of a team where people actually know about your superpowers" thing is very unfamiliar territory for him. And as a huge control freak, not having a comfortable handle on everything going on is very uncomfortable for him and he's just trying very hard to pretend he's still at ease with all this.
What has happened to them recently?: He's been super unsteady with all this crazy newness -- between space and superheroes and more personal shit -- so he was trying to work his way into things carefully, get to know some people and the situation better and establish himself socially first. Then the Lux thing happened and it's suddenly more of a trial by fire in doing what he needs to to help them all not die.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: I'd really love for him to have to use his powers in a counterintuitive, nice sort of way -- like helping other people control their powers or something instead of mindfucking people to get his way. It'd be a fun way to both throw him off his normal game and also push him towards some good development. And outside of the more positive stuff, I'm also super down for anyone being uncomfortable about him, whether because of the really-easy-to-potentially-abuse powers or because he's just kinda a lowkey creep sometimes. It'd be good for him to have to face all that head-on for once.

Beyond that general idea of development, I have no solid plans and I like to just see where things go, so lemme know if there's anything you want to do!

More Zuko and Sara pleeease. I really feel like they could have an interesting and complicated relationship. What with kind of understanding the lives the other has led and kinda not. I think it'll definitely be interesting how Zuko's picked up on how...careful he is when he speaks, so it's reminding him of Azula a little bit. But him talking about wanting peace is making him think maybe he's not entirely like her.

I especially hope we can someday push them into finding out the other has a terrible unloving father lol. That'd make Zuko predisposed to being a closer friend because fuck terrible fathers.

Also, I'd also like to toss Rich at him, too, maybe after plot? Just to see where that goes. Especially since he might give Sara some actual positive reinforcement sometimes for being a team player.

Yessss. To everything, yes. Actual understanding would probably do them both some good, and more interaction in general will likely lead to Sara becoming very comfortable with teasing Zuko all the time.

(And Sara would be very pleased to know the peace babble had the desired effect :>)

And please Rich, attempt positive reinforcement and watch the awkward ensue.

Thad is always good for negative CR involving him being uncomfortable with people (it really wouldn't take much to make him uncomfortable, and Sara's particular power probably would have him on edge, even if he isn't obvious about his discomfort).

I don't know if these two would come to like (or at least, respect) one another, or if Thad would forever be paranoid, but I think they would be fun to play off of one another. And if they ever do build some trust, I'm all for finding a way for Sara to use his powers on him in a helpful way.

Character: Thad Thawne
Basic personality: As a nerdy, socially inept clone child, who was raised with the sole purpose of killing the person he was cloned from, Thad has a lot of issues and isn't the most engaging person in the world. He hasn't had much chance to interact with anyone other than his AI caretaker (outside of when he attached his genetic original, and then took over his life for a month), and it's pretty obvious. While he can act friendly, and has a somewhat questionable sense of humor (if you like dark humor and bad science puns, he's your guy), most of the time he's just kind of cold, overly blunt, closed off, and a bit spacey.
What has happened to them recently?: Thad will have been purposefully keeping to himself since he got here, just observing and staying quiet since that's his natural state. He'll have been completely upfront with the senior Legion members about his past (more as a means to avoid the possibility of them finding out some other way, than out of any sense of loyalty or trust), so even if they didn't know the full story before, they do now. But he will likely keep from telling any of the newest members about it, at least for a while.
Upcoming plots, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character:
I'm planning on Thad having not joined as a Legionnaire, even if the offer was extended to him. I kind of like the idea of him having to either earn a place in the Legion somehow or getting him to a point where he's invested enough in the group, or something they are fighting for, that he wants to take the oath. Until then, he'll probably be doing lab work and maintenance around Legion World.

I would love for him to get some CR with fellow science nerds, or if you have a character that's still getting used to future technology, he's basically from this time period so he understands most of the tech, and he actually seems to genuinely enjoy teaching people things. So if your character ever needs some weird kid to babble at them about future tech, he's one option for that. Also, getting him off Legion World to see the outside universe with someone that will force him to actually interact with society, or at least, make fun of society and their weird customs with him, could be fun.

Oh man, we need to toss him and Zuko together. I have no idea if they'll click by both being troubled dudes given a chance to do better or hate each other and either type of CR would be great.

Also I'd like to toss Nova at him too. I think he'd feel sorry for him the more he found out about his origins and try to gently nudge him away from all that dark stuff. He could help nudge him into interacting.

Also you are absolutely welcome to grab me for some Brainy npcing whenever you like. That'd be really interesting given Brainy's relationship with Bart, but also because of his own origin as a tool of Colugov.

I would love all of this CR! Maybe Zuko and Thad could bond over awful father figures (I honestly don't know which one's worse) and mentors who were far better and more patient. Or maybe they will hate each other, either way, that would be really fun to play out.

And he could definitely use someone pushing him toward a better path and actually opening up. And it would probably help that Nova's someone a little older and more experienced.

I'm not sure exactly how he'll react to Brainy yet (especially because of his relationship with Bart), but I would definitely love to find out what they would both make of one another.

I feel like he and Parker might have potential for interesting interaction as she tries to teach herself to hotwire various future cars.

Also, Tadashi is totally here for bad science puns and explanations of future tech, and has extensive experience in managing socially-inept geniuses.

Thad could possibly help her with that. He might not know how to hotwire vehicles yet but it wouldn’t take him long to learn (literally give him five minutes tops), and I would love to see her pick pocket a speedster. They can be bad influences on one another; he can help her with hotwiring if she’ll teach him how she pick pockets.

And, yay bad science pun buddies! He could definitely use more people in his life pushing him toward using his intelligence for good, and he’ll be more than happy to introduce Tadashi to future tech.

Parker will happily teach him to pick pockets. And locks. And other crime skills. Her skills are useful and she thinks other people should have them. And then she will teach him about how he should use these skills on bad people for justice, because doing the right thing feels good and also bad guys usually have a lot more cash on hand.

Thad is probably too big for Tadashi to dangle upside-down, so at least he'll avoid some Big Brothering ;P

He could definitely make use of all of that and will be all for using those skills on bad people for justice. Maybe in return, he could teach her how to hack into future tech or how to understand Interlac without the telepathing earplugs, if she's interested. He's all for the exchange of useful information.

Actually, Tadashi might be able to do that. Thad's a whole five foot nothing and about a hundred pounds wet, it would be more of a matter of actually getting his hands on him.

She'll take the language lessons, but she'll pass on most of the hacking. She's got a guy back home for that. (And, congrats Thad, you are now her guy here for that.)

...well then, if Thad should ever find himself complaining of inventor's block in Tadashi's presence, he may very well find himself upside-down ;)

Fëanor would like to hear about all the weird future tech babble, disect it and build those things himself. Or at least try to. He might drag Thad off-world to explain something to him if Thad can be persuaded, if you're interested :|9

Thad would totally respect that and he could provide schematics if that helps. He's also available for teaching Interlac and helping with research on this universe and its history, if Fëanor is interested. Persuading him into going off-world wouldn't take that much, and I would definitely be interested in that!

I'll get back to you about this after February 8th, aka when I'm back in the country and (hopefully) have some time again.

But we should maybe first figure out how they'd best meet and perhaps start with figuring out that Thad can teach Fë Interlac? and then go from there.

They could meet on the outing to Earth when you come back, if you would like. He's going to be going around to the museum and hall of heroes, if they get along and Fëanor ever shows an interest in learning the language or seems frustration with not knowing it, that would be enough for Thad to make an offer.

I'm sorry, but I'll have to cancel our plans as I'm dropping Fëanor and thus the game. I hope you'll continue to have a great time here!

That's okay, I'm sorry to hear you're dropping, though. I hope things are okay, and that you'll be able to have fun in any other games you're in.

Things are okay, I'm just busy with rl (work, uni, social things/bf...) and along the road lost most of my energy for rp, so that I can't give games or characters that demand more than a certain amount of attention and energy the attention/energy that they deserve and require to be fun for me, and Fëanor in Legion is both.
