Upcoming Plots Discussion
Hey there, Legionnaires!
Periodically, we like to check in with the playerbase to figure out what the upcoming plots are going to be and see if we need to rearrange the plots, add a new one to the calendar, or make any changes based on what the playerbase wants.
In the past we had these conversations on plurk, but we've decided to have them in a more central location on the OOC because of the increased size of the game and the fact that not all players use plurk.
RECENT PLOTS
Due to some RL circumstances, Murderworld closed later than we would've liked. We're going to work on the npcing for the diplomatic network post and the final log to wrap things up, and plan to put up the reunion/rescue tonight.
We're going to give people more time to finish their Murderworld backtagging and then before we put up media hijinks and the ic anon meme (probably 2-3 weeks from now) we'll put up a thread for people to link the the threads they want released by Arcade to the public.
UPCOMING PLOTS
Due to Murderworld being pretty intense as far as plotting goes, and due to it separating groups of characters from each other, we're proposing that the next month be a little lower key, with events that bring everyone together to mingle, while still having things to do.
Platinum, Jason's player (the Red Ranger Jason), already has had a plan in the works for a camping trip for the whole group, and has an idea for an action element involving primordial monsters at the camping site, so that the event can have a mix of fun mingling and some adventure.
Then we'd like to have some media hijinks with another edition of Legion Watch, plus possibly some news from a more reliable news source, followed by the ic anon meme (which, as usual, will be visible to the characters icly).
Then either at the end of the month, or the start of December, we'll move on to heist plot. Or a different plot, if players want the plots rearranged in order or want a new plot added.
We want to know several things:
1) Does this plan of lower key events this month work for people or do you want something different?
2) For the next non-event modplot, do you guys still want the heistplot, or would you like to change it to something else?
3) If you'd like the next plot changed, do you want to rearrange the plots we have to change the order or do you have a new plot to suggest?
4) After all the current plots have wrapped, what new plot do you want added to the roster for after "The Happiest Place on Earth"?
If you want a possible new plot to come before heistplot and/or have plot ideas for after "Happiest Place on Earth," if you don't have a specific plot idea in mind, we'd like to know what kind of plots you would like to see. For instance: adventure, diplomacy, horror, some kind of disaster response, or anything else you can think of.
REGARDING SOME ISSUES
Regarding our slowness, we're working behind the scenes to tweak our modding method, so we are working on that. Having a central head mod to delegate work and organize things has a lot of benefits in making sure there's direction and that someone is making sure the work gets done, but has a major downside in issues arising if Korel is hit with RL.
So we're arranging a plan of having another mod taking over that role during times the head mod is hit with RL and having better communication when it needs to be done. That should help in the future.
If we still find ourselves having issues with the workload, we'll see about taking on another Main/App mod to help out. We've been hesitant about it because it's difficult modding the game without being at least a little familiar with DC Comics, but if a player is willing to be taught what they need (or read the Legion comics, which we can make available to them) we figure it's worth asking. So if we still have issues, we'll do that.
In any case, we're aware of the issue and working on it.

no subject
2-4) Heist plot sounds fun and I'm down for it but if someone has an amazing idea that also sounds great and people want to do that instead, I am also for that. I'm kind of a bad plot planner just as a person, really? As long as everybody else is having fun, I'm having fun. If the game is a roadtrip, I'm the overexcited labrador someone brought. I have no idea where we're going or what we're doing but oh my god you guys I'm in a car and everyone else is in the car too this is great!!!
I'm having fun. Things went slow for a bit but you guys have already addressed that and I'm not super worried or anything. Also I'm pumped for stupid media shenanigans because that's apparently one of my favorite things.
