Rule Adjustment
The mod team has had to reconsider the game's policies and have decided to make changes and additions to the rules to acknowledge that there may be some circumstances involving non-game communications where the mods need to make a judgement call.
To make our rules clearer in the future, we are adding a rule to state that the mod team may judge certain non-game-communication incidents on a case by case basis if something particularly extreme or alarming is involved -- particularly if it's hostile to other people. Some examples include: bigoted statements, instances of a player having a meltdown and deleting a different game, or a player saying something that indicates they've perpetrated a serious crime against another person IRL.
Upon discussing the issue, the mods have concluded that though most nongame opinions and statements should be each player's individual business, certain issues and incidents can crop up in the course of RP that are serious enough for the mods to evaluate even when not in game communications, especially since it's hard for players in such a small playerbase as Legion's to avoid each other. Having a small group and tabletop vibe to the game means some conflicts may need to be handled differently than some DWRP games would typically handle them.
If you have any concerns or questions about this change, or want a little more information on the limits for this, we certainly understand, and you can discuss it with us in the comments below or by using one of the methods on the mod contact page. We are willing to discuss the rule change itself publicly.
If you have questions regarding the precipitating incident, please contact us privately via PM or on the Mod Contact Page. We are making an exception to our rule regarding the announcement of disciplinary decisions regarding players due to RL circumstances of the player involved. We will only publicly release said information on the ooc comm if we notice misinformation being spread.
