WHAT UP Y'ALL my name is Juliet and I am bringing this one-eyed son of a samurai to Legionworld for joy and adventure. Kubo has the power to control paper by playing his shamisen, and right now just uses it to put on the world's coolest origami puppetshows about how cool his dead mom and dad were. He also has a magic unbreakable sword that he knows THE BASICS of how to fight with, but not much beyond that. He could really use some friends his age, some audience members, and someone to teach him how to do better things with his magical sword than Propping Open Doors and Trimming his Fingernails.

HI I'm Sam and I think a few of mine will be interested in meeting Kubo. I've got Sam Alexander from Marvel, who's close in age. Donatello from TMNT, also close in age, and while it's not his weapon specialty, he could probably teach some sword tricks because ninja and all.

And Ina here from Samurai Warriors is s samurai wife who will probably be incredibly relieved to meet someone operating on relatively the same page culturally! (Is it at all hinted in Kubo's movie where it'd be placed historically? Ina's from around 1600.)

Also I have Hal Jordan from DC who I can't think of any obvious CR opportunities with but this is the land of the unexpected, who knows what will happen.

Samurai wife!!! Kubo will ply her with sad tales of how he only got to learn Samurai things from his Samurai dad for about two days of his life, looking for fresh Samurai lore. I can't say I can figure out if there's a specific time period his canon is going for, unfortunately!

I am a thousand percent super enthusiastic for Donatello too. TMNT is the crossover I most want to see with Kubo and the Two Strings. Hell I'm super enthusiastic for them all. Kubo doesn't have friends his age in canon due to having excessive responsibility for a teenager, so it'll be really nice to see him meet some equally responsible hero buddies.

Haha, I...thought that might be the case, a lot of media seems to go that route. I will put this out for you to use or not use as you find most entertaining: being based on an actual person, she is known for some lore of her own. Not nearly as famous as her brother-in-law, though.

Hey Juliet! I love that you're bringing in Kubo and I'm sure Jason would be more than happy to discuss magic swords and quests with you since, well, he's been on quite a few himself and he has a sword that can turn into a spear/javelin (and can also magically disguise itself as a coin). I think they might be close in age too? Jason's 16.

I had to age Kubo up from the movie 2 years for him to be 14 but he's a real mature 14. So yes, magic weaponfriends. Hello to you!
