UNIFICATION WEEK - [MOD EVENT]
Plot is up!
UNIFICATION WEEK
LOG POST
THE BASICS
BACKGROUND ON MAJOR UP MEMBER WORLDS
Unification Week is a 7-day celebration of the formation of the UP. A week of festivals and fun activities, it usually ends on the anniversary of the signing of the accord that led to the creation of the United Planets. This particular event is meant to be a low-key event where characters can explore a positive side to the United Planets, and form new CR with each other. At the festival, they can explore art and culture, try alien foods, and listen to music from all different worlds, among other fun activities.
WILD CARD
While most options for the plot are fun activities, players do also have a "wild card" option to have their characters witness and stop minor crimes and even attempted assassinations of important officials. However, we ask that these events be kept low-key so as to not disrupt the whole event. For instance, a player can have their character stop an attempted assassination before it disrupts the festival.
Minor crimes like muggings, thefts, or stopping arson/accidental fires, do not need permission from the mods, but if you want to run something larger, such as stopping an assassination attempt of a UP official, please request that in the subthread below, just so the mods are on the same page.
QUESTIONS
Players are allowed to imagine up weird alien art, music, and other cultural background info. Even within cultures, there is sometimes variety, so if players make things up that don't entirely conform to the background info we've provided for the game, it's a-okay.
In short, feel free to make shit up! As long as it isn't something big like the structure of a world's government, the minor things like music, art, food, and clothing, would realistically be wildly variable. And there are so many species and worlds that are a part of the United Planets, that it'd be impossible for the mods to list information on all of them. (We also make up new ones all the time, so you can too!)
But if you want to put something by the mods first, there will be spaces below to ask questions!
