Welcome to Game Start!
Welcome to game start of thelegion!
Here's how events are going to be handled, step by step:
1. For OOC introductions, plurk friending, and CR plotting, we recommend players hit the first player plotting meme to keep it consolidated for game start.
2. Please refamiliarize yourselves with the IC part of the welcome process. Timeline-wise, we're treating it like a bunch of the characters fell through the portal on the planet over the course of the same day. You can assume after your character spent a few days recovering and getting everything explained to them that they're all being released around Legion World to explore at about the same time.
Important Note: For this first introduction of characters, the reason the Legion is familiar with people falling through the portal is because there was a batch of Legionnaires from alternate universes that did it before the start of the game. They were all vorped home after a few weeks and no one knows why they didn't stay. In the future, The Legion will be familiar with characters falling through the portal to the planet because of PCs doing it on an ongoing basis.
3. For most characters where it'd be IC we'll handwave that they spent their few days recovering, getting the information they need, and agreeing to join the Legion or just agreeing to hang around Legion World as guest/support staff. For those of you that have a character that you feel would have an extremely complicated waking up process (such as someone that might run away from the room/fight people) that you need some npcing for, there will be a section to comment to below, just for game start, so players don't have to come to us like they normally would.
4. Players may start posting intro logs at any time. Rather than having a mingle log players may do their own intro logs so they can set them wherever they want. You can allow the characters to start exploring the setting anywhere on Legion World. You may also start tossing characters onto the network.
5. On the network the mods will post posts for the characters to meet the npcs. We're doing it on the network to allow for easier conversation and allow for characters to join each other in discussions with the npcs. If you'd like your character to talk to a specific npc in person in a prose log over something specific, you can always contact the mods for that and we'll npc it or arrange it with the npc player. To make it easier for game start, there will be a sign up for that below as well.
