STATE OF THE PLOT UPDATE/DISCUSSION

STATE OF THE PLOT UPDATE/DISCUSSION

This is your periodic upcoming plots update/discussion. Based on player input and how quickly the game moves along, some plots may have their order or dates be shifted around in the future, but this is the current schedule of the game's upcoming mod plots. Barring the "Where Angels Fear to Tread," player plots may run alongside any of these plots.

WHERE ANGELS FEAR TO TREAD
The new Legion's first massive cosmic threat will come through the rift from another world, a cosmic horror that can't be destroyed through brute force: Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds! The Legion will have to work together to find a creative solution to stop him, have to fight a parasitic entity tagging along that's taking advantage of the chaos he's creating, and prevent the UP from sending the army into what would equate to a massacre.

At the end of the plot, the force bringing the new Legionnaires to the game universe and the reason it's doing so will be revealed!

Size: Gamewide, opt out. It will be possible for characters to opt out of the plot, but the events will be very broad-sweeping. This is the only plot where player plots cannot be run alongside it. That said, there will be a variety of tasks players can choose from within the plot, and players are allowed to suggest new ones to add.
Dates: 5-13-16 6-03-16

TINKER, TAILOR, HERO, SPY
After a mission goes horribly awry, the presence of a mole leaking vital Legion intel to supervillains and other parties will be revealed on Legion World. While the Legionnaires that were injured have to deal with the psychological consequences of recovery, a team of investigators will have to determine if the mole is a support staff member or one of their fellow Legionnaires.

Size: Limited, opt in. Two teams will be formed, one that has to use all the skill they have to survive an ambush and a team of investigators dealing with the aftermath. The team that is injured will all be willing volunteers that want to explore their characters having a close call and needing recovery time so that the role isn't forced on anyone.
Dates: 6-12-16 6-26-16

IN BRIGHTEST DAY
After several squads of power ring-wielders come through the rift to the game universe from an alternate version of the DC universe's past, and find the last lingering remains of the various Lantern Corps in the 31st century, the War of Light will be rekindled. Outmanned and outgunned despite their powers, the Legionnaires will have to seek out the last, lost Green Lanterns to arm themselves with power rings to fight against the various evil Lantern Corps and find a way to shove them back into their home universe. Through the course of the plot, characters will have a chance to wield rings powered by willpower, love, compassion, hope, avarice, rage, or the creation of fear.

Size: Gamewide, opt in.
Start Date: 7-7-16 7-28-16

WELCOME TO MURDERWORLD
When a new world the UP makes contact with through threshold drive exploration, Harrub, petitions to join the UP, the UP Council -- suspicious that Harrub's government is secretly oppressing their own population in ways that would make them ineligible -- asks the Legion to discreetly investigate. When the investigating team is betrayed by someone within the UP Council itself, they'll find themselves transported to Murderworld, an artificial planetoid where televised death arenas run 24/7.

After finding himself accidentally transported to the Legion's universe through the Rift, the supervillain Arcade started working for Harrub's government, providing a place where Harrub's political dissidents and their families are forced to participate in gladiatorial combat while Harrub's corrupt political elite bet on the winners.

The captured Legionnaires must fight against Arcade's copyright-infringing, hired mercenary "Tributes," try to protect the innocents currently trapped in Murderworld, and bring down the entire operation from the inside, while the Legionnaires outside must navigate a difficult political situation: they know their friends have been taken but can't get them back without admitting the UP was illegally spying on Harrub -- something that can be considered an act of war.

Size: Gamewide, opt in.
Start Date: 8-22-16 9-05-16

post-event wrap ups

I have questions about post-plot stuff. Events have great info and set-up, but not always any closure/recap. There was an NPC post after the UP Council Rescue before I joined and I felt like that really offered a good recap of the events and served to show like reactions/updates/etc to the event. Nothing like that has happened after the Naltor disaster, which makes me wonder how Naltor impacted the status quo. What were the repercussions of Naltor amongst the UP and the Legion? How did the game universe react to that event? In general, I'd like to see that kind of feedback after big events.

Okay, that's very reasonable. Thank you! I love being in this game and you guys do a fantastic job with all of your plots. This is the most comfortable I've been in a game for like five years and probably the most organized and professional mod team I've had the pleasure of dealing with.
