THE BODY SNATCHERSSUMMARY

After the Legion is asked to provide security for a treaty conference between the UP and a new potential member world, several Legionnaires find themselves at the center of a dangerous conspiracy. The planet's security forces start attempting to monitor and then capture them and even several other Legionnaires like Kid Q and Brainiac 5 seem to be under the control of whatever force is behind it all, turning on their teammates and attempting to capture them as well. The un-brainwashed Legionnaires must uncover the truth, dismantle the conspiracy, and prevent assassins from killing important officials, or the treaty conference is doomed to failure -- all while avoiding coming under the mental control of those behind the conspiracy. Set during "After These Messages."

BASICS



This plot takes place on a highly developed world called Epryria that is cyperpunk-esque in nature. It is in the vein of horror and thriller films like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," "Total Recall," and other conspiracy-driven stories, with a mix of heavy action and suspense. The plot will be very small (with only six characters), that will be RNGed into pairs (though these pair ups may switch during the plot) and will be heavily npced by the mods. The choices characters make during the plot will determine how the conspiracy is stopped. Some choices can lead to important officials getting killed and the treaty being called off.

The characters' comms will be cut off from the Legion network, and the characters will be forced into stealing and using some comm units that can only link locally with each other. They'll have to use these to communicate clues with each other on network posts that only they can see.

WARNING

This plot will have some dramatic twists that will not allow players to handwave an ending, so it's recommended that players only sign up if they're comfortable with their character not being able to move on until the plot is finished.

This plot will also involve some majorly headfuck-ey and sad elements, including ones that force players to play out their characters' deaths as if they think they're dying for real. It's a good plot for anyone that's up for some surprises, mindbendy elements, angst, and twists, but a bad one for those that want control over what happens to their character. Please only sign up if you're comfortable with having very little control over your character during the plot.

That said, none of this events will involve heavy gore or sexual assault, and if you have any other triggers you want to ask about before signing up, you can ask in the comment section below or ping the mods privately, and we'll try to give you enough information to make a judgment call.
